Our street lighting project in Warsaw received the DALI Lighting Award 2022
Applying judging criteria such as aesthetic appearance and the early-stage adoption of DALI features, the DALI Lighting Awards recognize the best use of DALI control solutions in lighting projects around the world.
We are very honored to be a co-recipient of the 2022 “Highly Commended” Award in the “Outdoor” category for our involvement in the comprehensive modernization of street lighting for the city of Warsaw, Poland. The goal of this ongoing large-scale project is to replace 38,000 traditional street lights with LED luminaires in order to save energy and costs while reducing the carbon footprint of the city at the same time.
Our partner LUG Light Factory uses the OSRAM OPTOTRONIC DEXAL LED drivers for their state-of-the-art SAVA luminaires. Each of these devices is Zhaga-D4i-certified and equipped with a Zhaga socket that enables the monitoring of luminaire data (e.g. luminaire status, operating time, energy consumption etc.), which in turn allows predictive maintenance. Moreover, the Zhaga socket means that the system is prepared for cutting-edge Smart City functionalities. The combination of our drivers with D4i-certified luminaires ensures that the lighting intensity can be adapted to current needs at any time and provides the possibility to connect and manage all city lights from one access point. Having thus been made future-proof, the luminaires are now already contributing to very significant electricity savings.
